Solar Storms at CME Halo (Earth-directed)
Right now
The most recent data we hold from SOHO LASCO arrived 5 hours ago, and this point is in it.
Reported by SOHO LASCO today.
What the source measured
SOHO LASCO reported: Coronal Mass Ejection detected at 2026-09-13T19:48Z. Linear speed: 1586 km/s. Half-angle: 26°. Full halo CME — potential global geomagnetic impact. ENLIL model indicates Earth-directed component. CME first seen to the West by SOHO LASCO C2 beginning at 2026-09-13T19:48Z, as well as by SOHO LASCO C3 and GOES CCOR-1. This CME is not seen in STEREO A COR2 due to a data gap beginning at 2026-09-13
How we know
One source: SOHO LASCO. Not yet confirmed by a second, independent source.
Our own score for this event is 42 out of 100, at 50 % confidence.
The score is ours, computed from intensity, exposed population and local history — not the source’s.
Computed under scoring rules v4. Rows carrying other versions were judged by different rules and are not directly comparable.
