Solar Storms at CME Halo
Reported by SOHO LASCO 117 days ago.
What the source measured
SOHO LASCO reported: Coronal Mass Ejection detected at 2026-05-23T16:00Z. Linear speed: 680 km/s. Half-angle: 32°. Full halo CME — potential global geomagnetic impact. CME observed to the WNW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and GOES CCOR-1, and NW as a partial halo in STEREO A COR2. The source is just NW of AR 14441 (N08W67), centered around N18W75. First observed as field line
How we know
One source: SOHO LASCO. Not yet confirmed by a second, independent source.
Our own score for this event is 22 out of 100.
This is our versioned heuristic index, not source severity or a calibrated probability. Urban PEI does not count unique people.
Computed under scoring rules v1. Rows carrying other versions were judged by different rules and are not directly comparable.

Physical priority index · v1. Heuristic priority, not calibrated probability, predictive accuracy or damage. The legacy data-support index combines assigned source support and field availability. Urban PEI is distance-weighted and does not count unique people; zero does not establish that nobody is present. Model cards.
